So, Ford: you introduced the roundbody Ranchero as a Falcon, call it nothing but a Falcon Ranchero in its intro year... and yet only two years later you won’t do a Peanuts promotional ad for it? I call bullshit.
I’m serious, every fucking model in the lineup got a
Peanuts
ad for ‘62. Except the Ranchero. What the fuck am I supposed to put up on my wall, you dicks?

I love those little Rancheros. I once meet an older dude who was driving one, just getting grocieres. I complemented his little truck, and we spent good 20 minutes talking about it. Deep down I was hoping he'd mention that it was for sale.

I have one. In some disrepair.

Well best of luck too you, in your efforts to bring it back to its former glory, or better.

It’s going not so much back to former glory as sort of sideways and in a different direction. I have Jaguar rear suspension, a Rover V8, four-speed stick (for which I converted the column), T-tops, shortened doors, improved front suspension, eight throttle bodies, Mustang bumpers, front discs, two tractor radiators... oh, and it’s meant to be an amphibian.
All this with a simple former Forest Service truck that rotted to hell in Cali, Florida, and Tennessee slowly and in that order.
